New Netflix Instant Streaming for May 2, 2013


So Netflix had a whole, whole bunch of stuff go off instant on May 1st, but here on May 2nd, they have a whole, whole bunch of stuff come on.

  • The Crystal Ball (1943) Ray Milland, Paulette Goddard, Gladys George, and William Bendix.
  • Dangerous Curves (1989) Not as racy as the title and cover would indicate.
  • Danny (1977) Looks like a kids movie about a horse. Make a good double bill with Black Beauty.
  • Deadly Hero (1975) Don Murray, James Earl Jones, and Treat Williams.
  • The Diamond Hunters (1975) Hayley Mills, not in a Disney movie.
  • Dirty Dancing (1987) I hate this movie.
  • The Dream Team (1989) Michael Keaton, Christopher Lloyd, and Peter Boyle.
  • The Duke of West Point (1938) Joan Fontaine
  • Escape from Hell Island (1963)
  • F/X (1986) Excellent thriller with Bryan Brown, Brian Dennehy, and Jerry Orbach. There’s also F/X 2 from 1991.
  • Fast Break (1979) Gabe Kaplan (Welcome Back, Kotter) is a basketball coach.
  • Harry and Tonto (1974) Director Paul Mazursky with Art Carney, Ellen Burstyn, and a cat.
  • Hellgate (1989) Rod Palillo! Also from Welcome Back, Kotter.
  • Hercules vs. Hydra (1960) Jayne Mansfield! And her Mr. Universe husband, Mickey Hargitay.
  • Hercules vs. Moloch (1963) stars Gordon Scott.

  • I Love NY (1987) Look at this cast! Scott Baio, Christopher Plummer, Kelly Van der Velden, Jennifer O’Neill, and Jerry Orbach. Directed by Alan Smithee, so beware.
  • Into the Sun (1992) I have to mention this because of Anthony Michael Hall and Michael Paré.
  • Kit Carson (1940) Dana Andrews, Ward Bond, and Clayton Moore (later known as The Lone Ranger). Kit Carson was actually a mountain man, before the post-Civil War west.
  • Ladybugs (1992) Rodney Dangerfield.
  • License to Drive (1988) Corey Haim, Heather Graham, Corey Feldman
  • The Lion of Thebes (1964) Italian sword and sandal flick.

    Tucker, Three Musketeers, Hoosiers, Dream Team all good.
    Haven’t seen Duke of West Point but anything with Joan Fontaine is usually worthwhile.

      Yes, I hope I got it fixed. I like Raw Deal, I love Claire Trevor. I own Tucker and Hoosers, and the library where I work has The Three Musketeers, but the rest you mention look like good ones.
