Yesterday, AT&T. Today, Southwestern Bell. This flier is is from the Christmas season 1985. Why they have giant puppets, I do not know. What’s interesting about this one is the information about the cover of the 1986 Kansas phone books.

An 88-year-old Wichita, Kan., artist’s painting will appear on more than a million Southwestern Bell Telephone directories throughout Kansas in 1986 in celebration of the state’s 125th birthday.
Lloyd Foltz‘s watercolor painting “Kansas” was selected from nearly 200 entries…
The winning entry depicts a typical Kansas landscape, complete with a combine harvesting wheat, a grain elevator in the background, an airplane soaring overhead and a country church.

Couldn’t find a picture of it though. And this year Kansas is celebrating 150 years!
