Gold and Platinum Volume Two

Gold & Platinum Volume Two, Realm Records (from Columbia House), 1P 7726. 1986.

According to the All Music Guide, this album is one of the better compilation albums of the 1980s because it was for a charity, the T.J. Martell Foundation for Leukemia, Cancer, and AIDS Research.

…the album boasts a much wider scope than most comparable collections, drawing tracks from four of five of the major record labels and including music from artists who usually withhold their work from compilations, such as Bruce Springsteen (“Cover Me”), Lionel Richie (“Running With the Night”), and Bryan Adams (“Run to You”).
